RSS is the exciting new technology that is penetrating on the Internet at present. With more and more and web sites opting for RSS every day, RSS promises a rapid change in the way content publishing happens on the web. If you are new to RSS and would like to know what RSS is all about have a look at my previous article RSS in a nutshell. Once you know what is RSS all about, the next and most important thing that you would like to know is - why to use RSS. In this article we explore the reasons why should any one use RSS.

 

About this document

This document represents the status of RSS as of the Fall of 2002, version 2.0.1.

It incorporates all changes and additions, starting with the basic spec for RSS 0.91 (June 2000) and includes new features introduced in RSS 0.92 (December 2000) and RSS 0.94 (August 2002).
